Build

The motor pulls the bead chain of an existing roller blind, so nothing needs to be replaced. The ESP8266 runs ESPHome and exposes the blind as a cover with open, close and position.

Result

For a fraction of the price of motorised blinds, they now open at sunrise and close at sunset.
